Long Eaton Round Table have donated a further £1800 from monies raised by their 2008 Three Peaks Challenge, this time to Macmillan Cancer Support, an organisation dedicated to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Macmillan provide practical, medical, emotional, and financial support. They address concerns such as how will I get to my hospital appointment? Who will walk my dog? How will I pay the bills when I can’t work? Who will listen and understand?
Helena Curtis, Fundraising Manager for Nottinghamshire praised the club saying “This is a fantastic achievement – we are most grateful!”.
