Santa’s Sleigh is on its way!

Posted on

It’s that time of year again when Santa and his little helpers tour Long Eaton in his custom built sleigh, knocking on doors and collecting for local charities.

Street Routes

The following table shows the intended routes that Santa’s sleigh will follow. Please note that it is not always possible to get to every house or even every street listed – sometimes even Santa gets stuck in traffic, his little helpers can’t run fast enough to keep up, or Rudolph refuses to go over a speed bump. If by any chance the sleigh does not make it on the evening advertised, then you can always go into Long Eaton on a Saturday and meet Santa there.

Unfortunately Long Eaton Round Table does not cover Draycott. We think that Church Wilne Rotary clubs may do so, so it may be worth asking them.

      Hi Helen,

We did use to cover fields farm estate however we had to cut in from our routes along with several others because we do not have enough volunteers to help us cover them.
If you would like to help us this year or know of anyone that could offer us support we would be very grateful, our aim is always to bring as much joy to Long Eaton as we possibly can and would love to increase our routes, however we need more volunteers to help us achieve this.

You can however always find us in Long Eaton town center on saturdays and at Asda on Christmas eve.

      Merry Christmas

Any chance you could actually come down diamond close in sawley this year? its off Beresford rd. You missed us last year, you didn’t even pass the top of the street, you usually come down here but not last year and my daughter was very upset and you missed at least my donation.

      Hi Adam,

I’m sorry that you and your daughter missed us last year. As your probably know we are a group of volunteers and with less helpers this year we cannot increase our coverage.
The streets we hope to cover are now up on this page so hopefully you are able to get to us or we are available in Long Eaton town center on the Saturdays and at Asda on christmas eve.

      Merry Christmas

      Hi Cheryl,

We are very sorry that we can not cover Fields farm estate this year. As you probably know we are all volunteers and once again find ourselves short on members and so we simply cannot cover all of the routes we would like to.
However if you know of anyone that would like to help us this year then please get them to contact us.

      Merry Christmas

      Hi Laura,
We went around that area last year on a monday, also the 9th. we only changed our dates last week as we have been unsure as to how much of Long Eaton we were able to cover this year. I’m sorry that you had 2 upset children and hopefully you were able to catch us last night or will catch us in Long Eaton on saturdays.

      Merry Christmas.
