40 Gifts at Christmas

It’s Christmas eve and most people will be out getting their last bits of shopping or perhaps out visiting family and friends, however for members of the Long Eaton Round Table it’s the last day of the Christmas collection. Today in the cold and rain we will be collecting at ASDA in Long Eaton, welcoming donations from the generous community, a community that has supported us through the last few weeks and welcomed Santa as he brought smiles and laughter to the local children, (and adults).

As well as collecting at weekends and in the evenings, Tablers have been working hard to put together 40 Christmas hampers filled with food and other items that were then delivered by LERT to the less fortunate in our local area. This is one of the prime examples of where the time and effort of the Long Eaton Round Table, coupled with the support and charitable donations of the local community, has helped to make a difference to those around us.  It is with this thought that we would like to thank the Long Eaton community for their support this year, and we hope to continue to receive your support into the New Year.

Merry Christmas from The Long Eaton Round Table!
