LERT 2014 Donations

Long Eaton Round Table look back at a busy 2014 of donations and local support, they donated £461 each to Erewash Mental Health, British Red Cross, Treetops, and made up £2,200 worth of food hampers donating forty hampers to the local community who needed a little support over Christmas and the New Year. “This year we worked with the Canaan Trust based on Main Street Long Eaton, delivering hampers to the families they have helped over the year who have needed extra support, some hampers was also given directly to the trust who have homeless people go in all over the year needing accommodation and food , we are delighted to support this local charity who need vital funds and support.” – Alan

The Long Eaton Round Table (Also called ‘LERT’ for short) run several events throughout the year to raise vital funds for local charity’s good causes and clubs that benefit the local community, The main national event in 2014 was a sponsored bike ride from London To Paris which LERT raised over £9,000 which went directly to the NSPCC via Just Giving. Also a new annual event ‘Long Eaton Community Summer Ball’ which will be held again in 2015 date TBC!

In 2015 the club are looking for local ways to support the community and would like to ask local clubs to contact them if they need support, the club is also looking for new members so they can continue to hold large fundraising events, the club also meets every two weeks to socialise with fun activities like shooting, motor racing, cycling, diving etc with a different theme at every meeting, to find out more and Do More Next Tuesday call o7790023796 or visit http://www.longeatonroundtable.org.uk
