    Hi

We’d like to introduce you to Rock & Roll / Rhythm & Blues band ‘The Rub’

We deliver a fantastic two hour rock ‘n’ roll show and guarantee a great night out for all.

Originally formed in 1990 following the break up of several Midlands based covers bands, The Rub have played far and wide including a number of festivals, a Monster Raving Looney rally with the now sadly departed “Screaming Lord Sutch”. Support slots with “John Otway”, “Steve Gibbons”, “The Trevor Burton Band”, “Blues On The Loose”, “Quill”, “Harlan the Jester”, “Soul Survivors”, “Vincent Flatts”, “Come To Bedlam” and others followed. An appearance at the Burnley Blues Festival in 1991 really put them on the map. A few line up changes followed and then a quiet period with some members working on other projects. Now The Rub are back to their roots and they mean business.

The Rub’s influences are clear, good old fashioned rhythm & Blues, rock ‘n’ roll with a driving edge. The Rub are currently reelin’ and a rockin’ across the UK to packed houses. Nick, Pete and Gary are experienced, committed and passionate musicians who are the most professional and amiable blokes you could wish to meet.

If you are interested in booking us please check out our myspace site http://www.myspace.com/therubofficial

We’ love to play at one of your functions and look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best Wishes
    Nick (07792 503615)
    Pete (07850 993212)
    Gary (07786 101939)
